The Bourgeois family has been growing grapes in the Loire Valley for over ten generations, but it was in the 1950s that Henri Bourgeois decided to plant vines on a hillside in the under-explored village of Chavignol. Today, the estate is overseen by Arnaud, Lionel, and Jean-Christophe Bourgeois, grandsons of Henri, and Chavignol has become an esteemed source for Sauvignon Blanc grapes within the Loire.
