VINEYARD/TERROIR NOTES: The Graillot (of Crozes-Hermitage fame) family’s 'Clos Somi' hails from the tiny village of Aigueze on the Ardèche river in the Gard region. Part of the wider Côtes-du-Rhône appellation, it’s known for characteristically typical yet good value wines. The vineyard is made up of 1.2ha of old-vine Cinsault, Grenache Noir and Syrah, farmed organically and surrounded by olive groves. All three grapes are used, producing a wine brightly-fruited with fresh acidity and lovely depth and concentration.

VINIFICATION:  Hand-picked, destemmed and co-fermented in cement vats for two weeks. No added sulphate and matured in 1500L Foudre for 9 months before bottling.

ABV: 13%
