Clos Sainte Magdeleine 2017 'Bel-Arme' Cassis Blanc, Cassis, Provence, France

Farming: Organic (certified)

Variety: 65% Marsanne, 15% Clairette, 15% Ugni Blanc, 5% Bourboulenc

Terroir: Vines planted on the terraced slope, below the Cap Canaille. Teracced limestone soils, facing the sea. Allows deep rooting and perfect exposure.

Vinification: All grapes are de-stemmed and crushed before pressing. The juice is delivered by gravity to a temperature-controlled stainless steel tank. The wine is fermented in a concrete egg, where it also undergoes malolactic fermentation.

Aging: Aged in a concrete egg for 6 months on fine lees with bâtonnage once a week. Wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered.
