Graci 2017 Etna Rosso, Mt. Etna, Sicily, Italy
Winemaker: Alberto Graci
Farming: Certified Organic
Varieties: Nerello Mascalese
Soil / Terroir: Dark brown in color, volcanic in origin, well-drained – almost sandy in
some parts, mostly very rich in iron and nitrogen.
Vinification: Fermentation In cement tanks with 12 days maceration on the skins.
Maturation: 12 months in cement and large wood barrels, during which Malolactic
Fermentation occurred naturally.
Tasting Notes: Earthy, complex and warming, this is CLASSIC Etna Rosso. Aromas of baked strawberries, crushed flint, licorice and smoked tea are lifted by supple tannins and lasting acidity. Great for pairing alongside red sauce dishes and stewed game meats.
