Lamothe-Bouscaut 2016 Pessac-Leognan Blanc, Bordeaux
Lamoth Bouscaut 2016 Pessac-Leognan Blanc, Bordeaux
Bouscaut's vineyard has existed since the 17th century on the commune of Cadaujac, an area wedged between the Atlantic Ocean and the Garonne estuary in Bordeaux, rich with clay and gravel. The Château has changed hands many times since the 17th century, but its current caretakers, the Lurton family, has made a commitment to preserving the estate’s rich history, while also modernizing its production to become sustainable for the future. Grapes are organically grown, and the Semillon-dominant wine is fermented and aged in French barrels (40% new), with battonage occurring during elevage.
