About the Producers & Items:

Giampiero Bea - Although Paolo Bea and his family have achieved remarkable renown for their intriguing wines from Montefalco, they also produce an olive oil that is decadently delicious. This oil, an extra virgin referred to as “Grezzo” (translated as “raw” or “untouched” or “pure”), is as sensual an olive oil as we have ever experienced. There is a plush texture, a vibrant green-gold color and profound flavor that makes this oil a multiple threat in the kitchen. Produced from Maraiolo, Leccino and Frantoio olives, this organically harvested Umbrian oil reflects the expertise and skill of the Bea family in combining these varieties to create a full-bodied, delectable olive oil. Rich green in hue with an earthy, distinctly plush texture and robust flavor, it is our choice selection for dressing salads, finishing steaks and preparing vegetables as well as for poaching or frying eggs.

And PASTA! Don't forget the pasta! This toothsome pasta is perfect for clinging onto creamy sauces and or a thick ragu. Equally delicious is to slather this pasta with Bea EVOO, finish it with truffle salt, and loads of creamy parmigiano. The pinwheel shape of this pasta is modeled after traditional architectural shapes from ancient Mediterranea. Like all of Bea’s glorious pastas, the Capitelli has been crafted from Bibi Margherito, the ancient Senatore Capelli durum wheat grown on their estate. Low in gluten and exceptionally easy to digest, the pasta itself is incredibly delicious – yet another testament to the renowned agricultural principles that the Bea estate has earned such recognition for.


TartuflangheThe Montanaro family’s deeply rooted reputation in the truffle industry stretches back multiple generations, beginning with the pioneering vision and entrepreneurial spirit of Giuseppe “Beppe” Montanario and his wife, Domenica. What started as visits to the local markets to source the best truffles available would evolve into priceless relationships with the trifolao as Domenica became known as “The Truffle Lady”. In 1975, Beppe and Domenica established Tartuflanghe to meet the abundant demand from customers and food importers for Alba’s renowned truffles beyond the short harvest season. With a lower salinity profile than Mediterranean salt, Guérande salt is harvested off the French Atlantic coast, and is softer on the palate. Combined with Tartuflanghe’s freeze-dried white truffles, this is the most truffle-rich salt we've ever tasted. Use it as a finishing salt for popcorn, simple pastas, crusty breads with butter or olive oil or anything else your heart desires.
