Terroir: 80+ year old vines. Blend of lieu-dits from around Gevrey-Chambertin, including the famed vineyard "La Justice".
Vinification: Indigenous yeast fermentation. Grapes are destemmed. The wine is aged in barrel (50% new).
Tasting Notes: Medium to full bodied, this wine captures the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin Pinot Noir. Warming and rich, it expresses aromas of black cherry, medjool dates, fresh vanilla, clove, anise, damp forest floor and eucalyptus. Incredibly complex and dense, this is great bottle for any California Pinot drinker to start exploring Burgundy in a serious way.
