Ramey 2018 Russian River Chardonnay, Sonoma Coast, CA, USA (375ml)
An absolute benchmark for California Chardonnay, Ramey Wine Cellars is a giant in its field. After decades leading winemaking teams for wineries such as Dominus, Chalk Hill and Matanzas Creek, David Ramey began the brand in 1996, setting out to make his personal makr on the wine landscape in California. David’s groundbreaking work with indigenous yeasts, sur lies aging and malolactic and barrel fermentation yielded a new California style that was richer, more lush and silky smooth than previously known. As a result, he created a benchmark style now emulated by many.
