COVID-19 Amendment to Shipping & Returns policy:
DECANTsf is still shipping, as well as offering contact-less in-store pickup and delivery.
HOME "Contact-less" DELIVERY in SF and East Bay.
- Home delivery within San Francisco is available Tuesday through Saturday between 4 and 6pm.
- Same Day Delivery is available Tues-Sat for online orders placed before 2pm PST.
- All local SF delivery orders placed after 2pm will be available the next day.
- We have brought down our delivery charge during COVID-19 Pandemic. SF is $10 or FREE with $150+ order. East Bay delivery is $18.
- East Bay Delivery is $18 and done on Tuesdays and Fridays only.
- Same Day Tues+Fri delivery available for online orders placed before 2pm PST.
- Overnight ground shipping via a common carrier is available for all California including East Bay on Mondays, Wednesday, Thursdays, and Saturdays. 21+ Adult Signature required.
PICK UP IN STORE
- All orders are available for same day pickup, Tuesday - Saturday, 12pm-6pm.
- Orders placed after 2pm on Saturday, or on Sunday or Monday, will be available after 12pm the following Tuesday.
- Please check in at front door and we will bring your order to the front of the store for contact-less pickup.
- You can continue to shop in-store, we ask that you stay six-feet away from anyone and do not touch anything unless you are wearing gloves.
- Please choose local delivery if you are feeling sick in any way.
HOLD IN STORE to BUILD A CASE
- You can choose to order and hold bottles in store while you build a case for shipping, delivery, or pick up.
- We will waive any 'cellar fees' during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Under California law, it is illegal to accept returns of wine/alcohol once sold, unless the product is defective. Although infrequent, corked wine or otherwise flawed bottles do occur, and we are happy to offer a replacement bottle or store credit. Please note, the return of any bottle suspected of flaw must be made within 30 days of purchase and must have manager inspection and verification before any action is taken. This offer does not extend to heat- or cold-damage or breakage incurred during shipment, nor bottle variation of "natural" wines. We are committed to our best in ensuring proper temperature-controlled storage and provenance of all our bottles. However, we cannot be responsible for bottles older than 5 (five) years from the current vintage, or items marked as "rarities". No refunds/replacements will be offered on these bottles.

DECANTsf Shipping & Delivery Policy
Legal Age Requirement: All purchases must be done by an adult over the age of 21. All in-store pickup must be done by an adult over age 21. All shipments must be signed for by a person over 21 years of age, no exceptions. Business addresses are strongly recommended for shipping.
Rates: Shipping rates for wine orders are determined by the weight and total number of bottles shipped per order, the destination zip code, selected shipping option, plus shipping material and handling fees. Please note that listed shipping charges in the shopping cart are estimates. Final shipping charge is calculated based on bottle size, weight and carrier. Not all bottles and gift sets weigh the same.
Sales Tax is calculated based on your shipping address.
Shipping: Shipping within California and Nevada may be handled by Golden State Overnight. All other states will be performed by UPS or FedEx.
We are only able to deliver to one address per order. Business addresses are strongly recommended for shipping. We cannot leave packages on your doorstep and we cannot ship to P.O. boxes. Shipping carriers will attempt to deliver three times, then will be returned to our warehouse. A re-delivery fee of $20 will be incurred for a second shipment.
Unless you have a valid alcohol contract with either company, we cannot ship using your personal or business UPS or FEDEX account number.
DECANTsf ships from San Francisco, California. For Midwest, South, or East Coast destinations, we recommended 2-Day Air or Overnight Shipping to ensure minimal effect from heat or cold during transit, or request COLD TRUCK GROUND delivery in the order notes. DECANTsf is not insured for Heat or Cold Damage during transit, and we do not hold any responsibility or liability for any incurring damage once products leave our shop.

By placing your order, you authorize DECANTsf to engage a common carrier on your behalf to deliver the merchandise to your specified address. We make no representation as to the legal right of anyone to ship or import wines into any state or country outside of California. When selecting to ship to another state, you assume all responsibility for determining whether you may lawfully import alcoholic beverages into that state. As interstate shipping laws are continually changing, please check with an appropriate agency before placing your order. Please note that interstate and international shipments may incur additional taxes and tariffs from the final destination location. These additional fees are the responsibility of the customer.
Same Day Shipping: Please call DECANTsf at 415-913-7256 before 2 pm PST. If the wine you're requesting is in stock Tuesday thru Saturdays, we will try to accommodate you.
Local San Francisco Delivery: Please call us at 415-913-7256 to discuss same day local delivery. All orders placed after 2pm for local delivery may be delivered the following afternoon and must be signed for by a 21+ person with valid ID. It is strongly recommended that delivery address be a local business or residence with a concierge or security.
Local Delivery orders (within San Francisco) under $500 will have a $15 delivery charge.
East Bay hand-delivery will have a $25 delivery charge.
All wine with delivery destinations outside of San Francisco in the North, East, South Bay or Peninsula will be carried out by Golden State Overnight (GSO/GLS). If you need local or regional delivery same day but miss the cutoff, DECANTsf has a list of local couriers to handle your delivery and will charge accordingly.
PLEASE NOTE: Most wine orders submitted over the weekend (Friday/Saturday/Sunday/Monday) will be processed and shipped out the following Tuesday or Wednesday. Please double check all destination addresses, as DECANTsf reserves the right to recoup any expenses from rerouting or cancelling/reshipping orders due to typos or missed deliveries. Businesses addresses are strongly recommended.
Order tracking: Tracking numbers will be emailed to you for each box shipped. All orders require 21+ Signature. Businesses addresses are strongly recommended.
International Shipping: Please call us for details at+1 415-913-7256. Please note that interstate and international shipments may incur additional taxes and tariffs from the final destination location. These additional fees are the responsibility of the customer.
Extreme Weather: In extreme weather situations, we may employ a third-party shipping company to handle your cargo under temperature control. Or, with notice to you, we may delay your shipment until after a weather event (such as heat wave or snow storm) to minimize any weather effects or delays on your products. DECANTsf has temperature-controlled storage to hold your order during these periods at no additional cost until it is shipped. Held orders will be shipped out at the next available time for no additional cost.
Pre-Arrivals/Pre-Orders: Your pre-arrival wine or beer will be charged when you purchase it, and then we will confirm shipping when it arrives at DECANTsf. Due to the variable nature of pre-arrivals, arrival dates to DECANTsf are subject to change.
Abandoned Orders: Any held orders not picked up or shipped within 12 months of purchase are considered abandoned and will be restocked with no refund, credit, or exchange. For Pre-arrivals, this is from 12 months of DECANTsf receiving the product.
Other Holds: If you order wine and would like us to hold the bottles for you while you build a full case to ship, we will do so at no additional charge for 30 days. Any wine held after 30 days with no purchase will incur a $15/month cellar charge. The fee is waived if you purchase at least one bottle per month of storage from us.
