Varieties: 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc

Terroir: Clay, Gravel. The northernmost village appellation of the Médoc, Saint-Estèphe is nestled between the Gironde Estuary and the Atlantic Ocean. Cos d'Estournel is located at the southern part of the village, bordering Pauillac. 

Vinification: Stainless steel, low temperature fermentation. Gravity flow, modern winery. 

Aging: 18 months, approximately 50-60% new french oak.

Tasting notes: Dense, full-bodied and worthy of some time in the cellar, this wine carries aromas of cassis, violets, cocoa, pipe tobacco, cedar and wet clay. Cellar for 15-30 years. Decant for at least 2 hours if opening now.
