MEURSAULT, CÔTE DE BEAUNE, CÔTE D'OR, and BURGUNDY
FRANCE

Winemaker: Sylvain Dussort
Farming: Lutte Raisonée (Sustainable with organic practices)
Variety: Chardonnay
Terroir: A village-level wine, but is nearly surrounded by 1er Crus: Poruzot to the north, Genevrières to the west, and Charmes to the south.
Vinification: Hand-picked, traditional vinification with native yeasts. Racking off and bottling takes place at 16 to 18 months, depending on the vintage.
Aging: 12-14 Months in 20% new French oak barrel, bottled about a year and a half after harvest.
Tasting Note:
This wine has the typical characteristics of Meursault; velvety and rich, delicate and elegant, very long in the mouth, with good keeping potential.

The Domaine Sylvain Dussort is tucked away, far from the center of Meursault, on the road down to the Hôpital de Meursault. The cellar is small, but then so is the domaine. They make an Aligoté, two versions of Bourgogne Blanc, three Meursaults, and a Bourgogne Rouge (which definitely punches above its weight).
